We're organising a Drupal workshop to be held on Wednesday 9th April in Manchester.
Who
If you or your organisation has just started or is considering using Drupal, our Introduction to Drupal course will set you on the right track and save you hours of time learning to configure and use the system.
What
Our one day course will cover the following topics:
- Installing and securing Drupal
- Overview of core modules
- Managing users
- Adding and displaying content: CCK, Taxonomy and Views
- Creating and configuring menus
- Understanding blocks and snippets
- Drupal resources and documentation
- Installing, amending and creating themes
- Writing a simple module
- Essential modules for every Drupal site
We're also open to suggestions for topics: send us an email and let us know what you'd like us to include.
Throughout the day we'll be building and theming a Drupal site, so to get the most out of the course you'll need to bring your own laptop. A little knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS would be useful, too
Where
We're holding the course at the Manchester Digital Development Agency in the centre of Manchester.
Lunch will be on us and you'll have the course notes to take home with you.
